Our Goals

Our Mission
Our mission is to open eyes, minds and doors to release the potential of every young person. We empower young people
in some of the most economically challenged areas of Bristol and Somerset to prepare for successful futures. We achieve this by working collaboratively with schools, families, the local community and the ever-growing generosity of our supporters both in industry and education.
Young people are selected by their schools to join one of our programmes for one or more years, and through consistent support from their cohort peers and their SBY Programme Lead, young people develop skills and confidence in a safe environment.

Our model of working is based on sustained work with young people and we achieve this by partnering with businesses, schools, colleges & universities, and cultural and heritage partners. This provides young people with a wide range of experiences designed to help them understand future options, and the confidence to reach their full potential.
